The aircraft

The 750XL-II, piece by piece.

A single-engine turboprop designed around short, rough and high strips, with a modern cockpit and a cabin that switches roles quickly.

The aircraft

Built for strips other aircraft avoid.

Every part of the 750XL-II serves short, rough and high-altitude operations, without giving up comfort or modern avionics.

01

PT6A-140A and a four-blade Hartzell

Pratt & Whitney Canada's PT6A-140A, supported worldwide, turns a 108-inch Hartzell propeller that is constant-speed, full-feathering and reversible. At 1,900 rpm the -II is noticeably quieter than the original 750XL.

02

A wing made for lift

A thick-chord low wing with large single-slotted flaps across the centre section. You get a 58 kt stall at maximum weight, calm low-speed handling and a clear view on short final.

03

Garmin glass cockpit

Garmin G600 TXi touchscreen flight displays and a GTN 650 navigator, laid out for single-pilot operation. There's a control stick on each side and gull-wing doors for both crew.

04

A cabin that changes role fast

6.8 m³ of cabin behind a large double door or an optional roller door. Seats stow in a rear compartment, so switching between passengers, cargo and jumpers is quick.

05

Gear for real-world strips

Fixed gear with oleo-pneumatic struts that can be set for the surface, plus an optional large-tyre kit with a 46% bigger footprint for soft fields. An inertial separator in the intake protects the engine from debris.

750XL → 750XL-II

Everything that worked, with more of it.

The -II keeps the short-field performance and low-speed handling that made the 750XL famous, and improves on it everywhere else.

  • PT6A-140A

    More power

The 750XL's PT6A-34 makes way for Pratt & Whitney Canada's newer, more powerful PT6A-140A.

  • 10min

    Faster climb

13,000 ft in ten minutes at maximum take-off weight.

  • 10%

    Less fuel

Burns about a tenth less fuel than the 750XL.

  • 1,900rpm

    Quieter

The propeller turns at 1,900 rpm instead of 2,000, so the -II is noticeably quieter than the 750XL.

  • TXi

    Glass cockpit

Garmin G600 TXi touchscreen EFIS and GTN 650 with advanced engine diagnostics.

  • 2023

    Certified

The type certificate issued by CAA New Zealand covers the 750XL-II.
